I kind of wish that the initial "attack


I kind of wish that the unused "attack" H scenes were in game.
Yeah those are awesome - the good news is that I'm going to use them as a base to create

a) handjob animations (in same position using her outstretched hand) as part of an alternate scene mod
b) clothed sex animations, using a mix of the attack and the existing h ones, as part of a clothed sex mod

Those two mods will also be coloured, like Colormod. But this will be after Colormod is 100% complete, which is a surprisingly long project haha :LOL: I definitely encourage anyone else interested to give it a go, as you can get all the sprites with the UMT tool, but fear not as I will get there eventually (y)

They are all bangers so how do I get those?

I realized looking at all these sprites just how much work went into Moon Rhapsody and Vivid Dead.
Quite insane that this is done by one guy, except music as far as I know. Maybe Kosmic deserves much more credit then we are giving him.
Or pixel art/spriting is much easier then I am fearing.

Found 'em. It was under Sounds instead of Audio groups.

Glad you found them - the music's all on Youtube too, I've been listening to it while working lol!

And it's definitely not easy - Kosmic deserves all the credit he can get. This stuff takes insane skill and dedication.

The part I thought was most curious about the texture sheets when I first looked at them (like two years ago by now, time sure flies) was that apparently the more-or-less tastefully cropped gory game over scenes are actually fully illustrated.

Considering there's a few gruesome death sprites in the game, I find it interesting the dev chose to make the game over screens a bit less brutal than they could've been. I guess it might put people off but then again I remember being pretty taken back when I encountered my first sniper and suddenly Nyx's skull was busted and her brain exposed!

Can you even edit the script though? I tried to change the speed number to make the animation slower (since they're all too fast to watch) but nothing change so I gave up. the Undertale mod tool only help me extract the picture. :cry:

Yeah I'm not sure how to change anything code-wise unfortunately, I tend to focus on artwork and how I can change things within the existing boundaries of the game. Hence I mention the alternate scene mod, because to add things like the unused animations, handjob versions etc. I'll have to replace the normal sex animations and match my new animation to the same number of frames. My idea is that people can swap in and out which data.win file they want to use based on which modded version they want to play at a time.

I think there are people looking into how to mod more stuff code-wise, and I have an open offer to the community to help out with any artwork-related stuff if there happens to be a cool mod project that interests me. Like we've talked about a mod where you play as Aello, for example, and whilst I can replace all the sprites with Aello and redraw the h-scenes with her in them, someone would have to do things like code her weapon and change the dialogue etc.

For the scenes you can keep them running by holding the down arrow, but if you want to make a .gif you can grab the sprites using UMT and then open them in GIMP as layers within one file. Then just file>export the document as a gif, and tell it to use one layer per frame, and you'll have a gif made (you can play around with the timing but maybe ~150 milliseconds would be good)

I intend to make a full gif library of all the loops and cum anims once I've finished Colormod but will probably focus on finishing the scenes themselves first since there's so much to do :ROFLMAO:

Personally I don't like making gif because their quality. I enjoy watching scenes while playing than just watch the animation (and that's the purpose of game). I can make simple animation with html code though so the animation not lose quality as gif (similar method of web game like kamihime project).

Modding the game code will be quite hard as it uses YYC and is basically compiled assembly code, not GML language like the usual GameMaker games. The only practical solution I see to mod this game would be something like a Cheat Engine trainer.
I can offer to write one for your project but don't hope for very advanced features as assembly is a pain to make mods with.

For example, if you create animations of exactly the same size and frame count as the existing ones, I can write a trainer to make your new animations randomly be shown in game as alternative of the original ones. (ie: the game will randomly pick the new or old animation with 1/2 chance, and there would be no need for you to edit data.win).

one question
have you fought the nagi boss as nyx?
her grab is unlike any other enemy's, her grab has a dedicated cut-in in the same style as h-scenes
could you make other enemies' grabs act in this same manner?
we could implement the resisting animation cut-ins this way

Haven't played the Nyx path, but this sounds interesting. My guess is that the game was originially planned to have a lot of enemies behave like what you describe, as there are a lot of unused anims in the game, like this one:

Yeah, i think so too, it seems that was the way they were intended to be.
In the discord btw there was a dude who made a cheat engine table that allowed to see these animations, but like, replacing some h scene with these, so not really in the sense that i was asking you if you could do it,
But maybe that table could be of help? to investigate stuff?

Instructions of use are:
Just activate the view h scene on defeat cheat in the table, select the scene via the drop box, play as Nyx, get defeated by respective enemy or go to gallery and view the scene associated to the enemy

User punk7890 is the one who made it, he's in the discord too so can ask him questions

This was going to be implemented as we can see since it's in the game files, it's just that development for Moon Rhapsody is paused atm because he's working on Vivid Dead.
Calling him a moron you're being rude and a jerk by resorting to personal attacks and you should stop.
