This is slightly off-topic...
But in general, you get what you pay for. And unfortunately, as far as complete setups go, if you want decent quality, then basically Valve Index is still the best choice. It should be fairly easy to get a used one now, just get yourself a fresh face gasket, but those are relatively cheap.
There are better headsets, but they cost much more, and they don't include controllers or the base stations. You can also connect a Quest to the PC, if you're fine selling your soul to Zuck, for the lowest quality and cheapest option...

Im specially looking for info about cheapest ones ( rare ) with decent quality and funtionality, i was checking the most popular medium quality and minimum is 300 for a Quest or Pico and i dont even know if i will like to use it too much so i dont want to spend that much..
So even knowing can be no so soft quality experience... i also wouldnt spend on this more than 100 or 150 honestly...

The only thing you're missing is more dildos and some tentacle animation in a room, that's really rough.

I couldn't find anyone else mentioning it but if you hold both left control, left shift and press the patreon button on the main menu of the game you can change the membership tier.

1. A used Index can be had for around $500
2. For porn, VR is OKish: I'm glad I tried it, still use it few times a month, but often a regular wank is just better effort/reward ratio (I do have a fleshlight, don't have a sex doll to go along with it). For it to be really immersive I'm afraid that what's required is full body tracking both for you and the sex doll. That's technically doable in a game like Virt-A-Mate, but that game is jank cobbled together using old bubblegum and rusty chickenwire.
3. Games like HL:Alyx or Into the Radius are totally worth it, amazing immersive experiences that really couldn't work any other way
4. If you get a used headset, you can always resell it later, probably for a similar price: it holds its value well; so as long as you have a decent gaming PC (1080 TI or better) already, you can try VR in your home for not much of an investment

Everything that happens on the client can be hacked in any case. I don't see the point in complicating this task. As I already said, I ask for donations only to support the development of the game and are voluntary.

There are no such restrictions in the game. You're probably talking about the main menu, you basically can't navigate there.
After seeing someone recommend an index in 2024, I absolutely had to reply to this. The Index is 2 generations behind, it's still expensive and has a very low resolution. The quality of visuals is the biggest con, and the pros are the quality of sound and the comfort. So, it's a bad recommendation for anything where the visuals are important.
The best value option is sadly: Quest 2 or Quest 3. Meta is the only company that made the decision to make little money on their headset because they can make a lot more money by selling games and apps. Other manufacturers cannot do that, so they end up selling at 2X the price for equivalent specs / features, and they are usually specialized headsets for VR enthusiasts.
Go get a used Quest 2 for under 200$ on marketplace, or get the Quest 3 for the best value with great visuals. The next headset with better visuals than the Quest 3 is going to cost 1500$ or more.

i have an Samsung Odyssey Plus+ got for 80 bucks off ebay. will get a higher end Vr soon. also from Ebay or Swappa
Not much of a fan of how hidden the install process is. Doesn't offer any location of install, doesn't tell you where, uninstalling is very unclear and the only way to do it seemingly is to manually search for where the files installed and then manually delete them.
Overall it looks like a good game, if a bit clunky, but I wouldn't reinstall it just based on that alone.

Hello. The installation location is the standard Windows application data folder.
Because The downloadable build size ~= 200MB, this should not be a big problem for now.
App data folder: %appdata%\DS Launcher\Game\dollscapes
When installing updates, past files are completely cleared. Once the builds get a little heavier, i'll work on this to allow for manual path selection.

But more importantly, I would be glad if you described why the game seems clunky to you.
I would have a better understanding of what I should pay more attention to when developing.

Then there is of course minecraft, which one might want to symlink out from appdata, because the appdata is pretty much the entire game. There is a reason why apps save settings and store saved games there, but there is also reason why steam doesn't install your games there. Great place to hide stuff and make people suspious tho.

This is a very beautiful game, with good optimization, beautiful girls. A very interesting project that is worth attention.
It's mostly just KB+M issue, but the things I noted were:
1) Not being able to move the camera outside of holding right click
2) No automation features in terms of when interacting with models, having to move the mouse around makes things awkward given what people are here to do when playing these types of games
