I thought the MILF that the MC was living with was married or at least the girlfriend to the father? It has been a while since I played it. I remember taking the MC's best friend's mom from him, which he wasn't too happy about.
No, she was his girlfriend in the college days, but then he married MC's mom. He was trying to get back with her, but the MC stopped him.
The tone of this game is strange sometimes. One moment it's "Oh you're fucking your mom you naughty boy, let's go download incest porn 
" and then it's "my dad used to rape me and my sister when we were little kids and my mom would get off to it. We only escaped because we got them killed but we're probably traumatized for life." (and that part, thankfully, not portrayed or really played for pornography at all)

Do I understand correctly that in chapter 8, when talking to the devil, where are the 4 choices?
A) I want Ella.
B) I want to take Selina and Veronica…
C) I want Selina.
D) I want Ella to come here.
This is where we choose 4 different paths, and path B is the most love/harem one?

Where you are asking (in Ep8) is the only place where you can change your mind from the choices you made in Ep1 that set those paths originally. Yes, there's 4 major paths then branches thereof afterwards. There is only one path that collects the most LI's... none have all of 'em.

B and D have the most girls. The difference is that in the USA you can have Becky, Bethany and Olivia and in the UK you can have Cathy, Riley and Kylie.
